Longlevity – There are now living within one mile of the
White Horse Inn, in Myerscough, about six miles from
Preston, (a district not remarkably populous) no fewer than
27 persons, the youngest of whom is 72, and three of them
93 years old, and the total amount of whose ages is 2,190.
The fact is so curious, that we give a list of their names,
with their several ages annexed:-
