EXAMPLE of book:

10th September 1831
POLICE TOWN-HALL 29th Aug - Edward Jefferson was duly convicted of breaking into the Garden of Mr John Lodge, situate behind his house, in Church street, on the night of the 20th August last, and of stealing pears therein, for which offence he was committed to the Castle to be kept there to hard labour for three calendar months. We trust this will operate as an example to deter others from prowling about at nights, robbing orchards and gardens, which we are very sorry to hear is no uncommon practice in this neighbourhood.
